Simple and easy is how I like my outfits. Comfort is key. No matter how simple the look, accessories will always dress up an outfit. My standout accessory is always shoes. Shoes will forever be my weakness. They speak to me. Whether it’s a heel or flat if I see a shoe that I like, I have to have them, especially if they are camo print.

Camo + Cognac + Mules…

Camo pants: Gap ; Similar | Shirt: Ily Couture | Mules: Target | Bag: Sole Society | Sunglasses: Tory Burch; Similar | Belt: J. Crew | Bracelets: Kluster | Watch: Michael Kors | Ring: Love Always Couture | Lipstick: Pink Pigeon

Camo is my favorite print. I find any excuse to wear it. I especially love its versatility. I have always considered my style to be tomboy glam. My new way to pair camo is with the color cognac. I have been looking for a pair of casual, cognac colored shoes. I also wanted to give this mule trend a try, but did not want to spend alot of money. These Target mules solved that very problem. They are trendy and comfy. I kind of have my eyes on the black ones as well. Shoe addict problems…

I love casual outfits. Dresses are my go to look for an easy outfit. It is simple and it is one clothing item that takes the guess work out of what to wear. They can be styled to look casual or dressed up depending on the accessories. When I am not wearing jeans, you will most definitely find me in a dress. With temperatures heating up in Florida, a dress is a simple way to stay cool and look chic. You will also find me with my hair up. I am currently having a moment with braids. I plan on doing some more experimenting. Stay tuned for what I come up with next.

Denim on Denim + Pink…

Denim shirt: Banana Republic | Jeans: J. Crew | Shoes: BCBG Generation; Similar | Clutch: Clare V. | Sunglasses: Dolce & Gabanna | Bracelets: Kluster | Watch: Coach; Similar | Lipstick: Pink Pigeon

I have had the idea for a while now to do something with denim on denim. I just never got around to it until now. Since I knew there was going to be an abundance of blue denim, I knew I wanted to add some pops of color to balance the look out. I knew I wanted my shoes to be that pop of color. Every outfit that I wear starts with the shoes. I build my outfit always around the shoes I am in the mood to wear. Truthfully, I was more concerned with wearing fabulous shoes than I was about picking out a wedding dress. Once I settled on wearing pink heels, I knew pink would be the perfect pop of color for my denim on denim. From there I just added on my favorite Kluster bracelets, a leopard clutch, and topped it all off with swoon-worthy pink and leopard sunglasses. I actually have a funny story about these sunglasses. I saw these in Sunglass Hut and initially walked right by them. However, I really saw them out of the corner of my eye. Anything pink and leopard will catch my attention. I did one of those slow-motion walk backs to confirm if I really had just seen pink and leopard glasses. I did! Love at first sight! I knew I had to have them. Plus, they were the only pair, and I also had a gift card so that helped seal the deal, too. I can’t stop wearing them!

Floral Print Dress…

Floral Dress: JCPenney | Shoes: Christian Louboutin | Clutch: Gigi New York | Sunglasses: Tory Burch; Similar | Watch: Coach; Similar | Bracelets: Kluster | Rings: Monogrammed; Cat | Lip gloss: Black Cherry Tart

A floral print equals spring. It can be an overwhelming print. If you are not used to wearing a vibrant print with lots of colors, muted tones in a floral motif may be better for you. I was attracted to this dress because the print is floral, but the colors are muted. They are not your typical bright, floral print. This way I still get to enjoy wearing flowers, but don’t feel overly obnoxious and feel like I am wearing an old couch. Aside, from the florals in this dress, I really love its shape and movement. It is so flowy and makes my waist look super tiny. What woman doesn’t want a tinier waist?

Spring Has Sprung…

Happy First Day of Spring! Hello sunshine and bright colors! I could not resist buying these metallic flats from J.Crew when I saw that they were on sale. Plus, I had some reward money from J.Crew, so double bonus. These flats are actually my favorite! I have them in three other colors, and I still want more. With warmer weather here to stay in Florida, I thought this shirt was perfect with the palm trees. I also liked the cute “Tres Bien” saying. David and I just booked our second wedding anniversary trip. Paris will be one of our stops, so this shirt made me ready for Paris.

Though it is Spring, and it is all about bright fun colors, I have actually fallen in love with dark lipsticks and lip glosses. I know this is not the typical Spring palette of the usual pinks and nudes for lips, but I have been incorporating some darker shades into my daily rotation of pinks. I think it has a lot to do with my new darker hair color. It makes me feel vampy. Black is actually my natural hair color, but I wanted a change from the blonde. My hair is dyed black with dark blue ombred throughout. I wanted to go completely blue and be a mermaid, but I did not think my job would be thrilled with blue hair, so this was a fun compromise. These pictures were shot in mostly shade, so it is hard to see the blue in all its glory, but if you look really hard you can see that my hair isn’t really just black.

Pattern Mixing: Plaid + Camo

Shirt: Gap; Similar | Pants: Loft, Similar | Shoes: J.Crew | Cluth: Gigi New York |Earrings: BaubleBar; Similar | Watch: Michael Kors; Similar |Sunglasses: Tory Burch; Similar | Bracelets: Kluster | Rings: Etsy, Love Always Couture | Lipstick: Pink Pigeon

Pattern mixing was something I was always a little skeptical to try. It made me feel uncomfortable. I felt this way because I just did not have the confidence to move out of my comfort zone.  I always thought dressing well meant matching everything from head to toe. However, I was wrong. Camo and plaid at first thought is an unlikely pairing. Although, the more I wear camo, the more I see it as a neutral. It goes with everything in my closet. Some of my best pattern mixing combinations happen when I am in a rush to get dressed and leave the house. My four tips for pattern mixing are:

1. Comfort – Wear what you feel comfortable in and what makes you feel stunning, no matter how simple the outfit.

2. Creativity – Thinking outside of the box goes a long way. Besides, it is fashion and it is meant to be fun.

3. Color – When print mixing, stick to like colors to create an overall tone.

4. Confidence – This is the most important one. If you are unsure of yourself or your style that will show. Own your look.

Print on Print….

Shirt: H&M | Pants: H&M | Clutch: Gigi New York | Shoes: Christian Louboutin | Earrings: BaubleBar; Similar | Sunglasses: Tory Burch; Similar | Bracelets: Kluster | Rings: Love Always Couture, Etsy | Lipstick: Pink Pigeon | Lipgloss: Viva Glam Miley Cyrus

I love a bold print, especially when it is a floral motif. I was immediately drawn to this pairing at H & M, but was not sure if I could pull off such a bold print. I picked out my sizes and immediately headed to the dressing room. As I studied myself in the mirror, I did what I always do when I am unsure of an outfit. I snapped a few quick pics and texted them to my two best friends. One loved it, the other did not. I sided with the friend who liked it. Not only is this one outfit, but so many more outfits can be made with the interchangeable pieces. Hello multiple outfits. This is awesome for me because one of my shopping goals for 2015 was to shop smarter. By smarter, I mean spending less on the quantity of clothes that I buy and focus on buying interchangeable items that can be easily incorporated into my existing wardrobe. Trust me, it is a lot harder than it sounds.

Cozy and Casual in Camo and Leopard…

I am all about cozy knits, especially super soft sweatshirts. I love them even more when they come in camo print. If you follow my feed on Instagram you will see that I am very fond of camo. I own way more of it than I should. As soon as I saw this sweatshirt, I knew I had to have it. It is so soft and cozy. Initially, I wore it way more than I should have without washing it, but it was because I did not want to lose its coziness. The sweatshirt has been washed, and it did not lose any of its softness. It is just as soft as when I first wore it. What is your favorite cozy knit?

Keeping It Neutral…

Shirt: H&M | Jeans: Banana Republic | Shoes: Steve Madden | Clutch: Sozo United | Sunglasses: Tory Burch; Similar | Cat Ring: Gift; Similar | Monogram Ring: Love Always Couture | Lip gloss: Giggle

With spring right around the corner, neutral colors are on my radar. I have been slowly incorporating a neutral color palette into my winter wardrobe that would easily transition into spring like blush, gray, and oatmeal colors. These colors pair perfectly with winter white. I have been wanting a pair of white jeans for forever. However, I was a little skeptical that they were for me. I am terribly clumsy and also end up with ink all over my hands on a daily basis at work. Therefore, it was inevitable it would probably end up on my white jeans, too. Aside, from skinny jeans, boyfriend jeans are my favorite style of jeans. I love how they can be dressed up with heels and dressed down with flats. I was immediately sold when I found out these came in boyfriends and they were white. They were definitely worth the risk of ink spots. I am ink free so far.  I also have my eye on these and these to add to my white jeans collection.
